Tim Obarski

Tim originally hails from Toledo, Ohio, but he moved out west to Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs to pursue a degree in Sales and Marketing Management, with a specialty in the ski and snowboard industry. After seven years, during which he averaged 100 days a year on the slopes, Tim got married and started back east to Vermont, his wife’s home state. The Obarskis stopped in New Orleans along the way, where Tim spent a year doing historical preservation and custom home building. After they soaked up enough southern sunshine, Tim and his wife finally landed back in Burlington, where Tim scored a job at Burton Snowboards doing prototyping and R&D.
Soon, however, Tim became fascinated with the field of online marketing. In his spare time he taught himself search engine optimization and web development. This led to the birth of SEO Creation Lab, Tim’s freelance SEO and Online Marketing Studio. His clients included MD Laser and Botox, WrapIt.com, the Steamboat Film Festival, and Coretomic. In the summer of 2008, Tim joined the Vermont Design Works team, bringing with him his real-world expertise and his passion for search and analytics.
